South Florida Duo Make Fashion Funny

Deerfield Beach, FL July 23, 2004 -- Ft. Lauderdale residents Todd Steinberg and partner Jedd Canty are sure the answer to that question is - a “hip” man.

Jedd and Todd created JudTud clothing (www.JudTud.com) to bring the funny back into fashion. “Too many people take themselves too seriously”, says Jedd Canty. “We created JudTud for that shy guy or girl at the party that wants the right person to come up to them, notice the shirt, and strike up a conversation. Our shirts take the fear out of approaching someone, because chances are - they’ll find you!”

It seems people are starting to take notice too. Open less than a month and JudTud is already selling around 150 shirts a day through their website www.JudTud.com, plus JudTud is in talks currently with several major retailers about being added into their chains.

For under $18 you can get clothing that makes a statement. “We didn’t want to rip people off with insane prices for our shirts” says Todd. “If you buy the shirt, but then can’t afford to wear it out, what’s the point?” He also adds that people are growing tired of the limited selection offered by shopping malls. “People want shirts that speak to them personally. JudTud was born to answer that call.”

The story of JudTud began at a local advertising powerhouse where Jedd and Todd met and worked on similar accounts for consecutive years. To escape the grim reality of corporate life, Jedd and Todd (adjoined by cubicles) traded witty insults and would go to great lengths to embarrass each other. Under a truce, they decided to unite their creative juices and filter them into something worthwhile. Leaving the corporate veil, Jedd and Todd fashioned a new alias and new way of life, ergo JudTud.

Todd Steinberg attended Taravella High School in Coral Springs and graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. Jedd Canty grew up in Maryland and later graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a double major.

Jedd and Todd are working on plans to expand their clothing line beyond t-shirts and have hopes of opening their first store in about a year and a half.
