Two Worlds Collide for A Fashion Week Extravaganza!
FOR BEAUTY'S SAKE: A FASHION WEEK DESIGN COLLABORATION BRINGS TOGETHER TWO WORLDS
NEW YORK CITY September, 6, 2003--- On September 15th at 6:00 PM, the worlds of fashion and jewelry design will collide in an explosion of beauty.
LAURA GIBSON will be one of five jewelry designers featured at the Gustavo Arango show at 7th on 6th during Fashion Week in Bryant Park.
The brilliantly colored 22K gold and gemstone creations that Laura Gibson is so famous for were chosen as a perfect complement to Mr. Arango's fine fabrics, workmanship and detail.
For the show, Laura Gibson has designed five pair of spectacular shoulder-dusting earrings that are sure to be showstoppers.
Laura Gibson's work is vibrant, alive, and colorful and reflects the passion she has for design. Her brilliant compositions in peridot, tourmaline, sapphire, amazonite, aquamarine, heliodorite and chalcedony, to name a few of the stones she works with, have adorned the arms and necks of fashionable women worldwide.
The show, at the Bryant, will celebrate the "Lady" - capital "L"… elegant, well bred and with impeccable taste. In these days of casual Fridays and barrio chic, the Gustavo Arango and Laura Gibson designs mark a shift toward classic elegance and a return to luxury.
This stellar collaboration of designers will also feature the work of Alan Friedman, Lazare Kaplan, William Levine, Faraone Menella, Stephen Webster and Mikimoto. Reinhold Jewelers of Puerto Rico, Mr. Arango's home base, masterminded this collaboration.
For the past 25 years, Reinhold has been a leader in both the retail and business community on the island of Puerto Rico. With stores in Plaza Las Americas and the El San Hotel Hotel, the Reinhold stores offer the right contrast for the local clientele as well as stateside clients, from brand names to unknown artists, all cutting edge, modern designs that is in itself a true tribute to the Reinhold brand. It is this exposure to up-and-coming as well as established names that has added to the success of the business and resulted in Marie Helene Morrow, President of Reinhold Jewelers, to be honored as 2003 Retailer of the Year at the recent banquet in New York given by the Women's Jewelry Association.
This fall, Laura Gibson's designs will be adding the Reinhold stores to her roster of outstanding retailers.
